Anton the Christmas Elf and the Lost Wish List

In the sparkling winter wonderland of Christmastown, where the snow glistened like sugar, lived a cheerful little elf named Anton. He wore a red hat that always tilted to the side and a fluffy white beard that reached his chest. In his cozy workshop, filled with twinkling lights and the happy songs of other elves, Anton was busy getting ready for Christmas.

One bright morning, the air smelled of gingerbread as Anton and his friend Antonia sat at a big round table. In front of them lay piles of colorful wish lists from children all around. Each one was filled with dreams and hopes.

“Look, Anton!” Antonia said, holding up an orange card. “It says, A new bike! This one is for Timmy!”

Anton smiled, imagining Timmy’s face on Christmas morning. But then he suddenly stopped. His heart skipped a beat.
“Antonia… where is Clara’s wish list?” he asked. Clara was a shy little girl from the next village, and her wishes were always so sweet.

Antonia frowned. “I don’t see it. Maybe it’s hiding in the pile?”

They searched through the notes, the air filled with the smell of cinnamon and cloves. Anton grew worried. What if Clara didn’t get her Christmas wish? The thought made him shiver.

“We have to find it!” he said firmly, shuffling through the papers as fast as he could.

Just then, a soft rustling caught his ear. Under the table, half-hidden in the shadows, something sparkled. Anton bent down and pulled out a crumpled little note.

“Antonia! I found it!” he cried.

On the paper were the words: I wish for a friend to play with.

Anton’s eyes softened. “That’s the most beautiful wish I’ve ever seen,” he whispered.

So Anton and Antonia got to work. They wrapped a special gift that would bring Clara the friend she longed for. Laughter and joy filled the workshop as the elves prepared everything with care.

And when Christmas morning finally came, Anton realized Christmas wasn’t just about presents. It was about love, friendship, and the little things that warm the heart. As he helped deliver the gifts, he felt the true magic of Christmas—sharing joy and bringing smiles to others.
